@rob.perry, I’m going to chime in here and say that you have something great to look forward to with Julio Rodriguez and Jarred Kellenic. As a Jays fan, I’ve learned to play the waiting game. You also have a fun GM. Dipoto will keep you on your toes with some trades this offseason.
Can you expand more on your use of ADP?
I am interested in using Prophix for CapEx planning. Can you provide tips? For instance, where should I start.
We actually don’t use for CapX yet I was also hoping to get some feedback from someone here! Maybe others can weigh in on this??
We use an import template to import all active employees showing their discipline and branch, all pay information, exempt status, utilization goal, and all employer benefit costs per employee including vacation allowance, health, etc. it is very useful for budgeting!! And a huge time saver!
We have eight customers respond to the survey so far, saying they conduct CapEx planning. Any insights you can offer, @monte.southwell, @michael.senchuk, @lauren.painter?
I used the Prophix Academy course for CAPEX planning. The course gave me all of the tools that I needed to build my CAPEX DPM cube. It works perfectly!
@emily.anauo, let the record please show that I did not direct you to promote the Prophix Academy here. Those courses must be gooood. cc @faez
We did not use Prophix for Capex in our current budget cycle (our first with Prophix). We felt like our resources were best spent elsewhere to implement the software/processes.
We are however working on a Capex module in a Detailed Planning Module that will drive our capital reporting going forward, including our required depreciation journal entries every month. While it’s still a work-in-progress, I do hold great hope that it will do exactly what we need on that side of the world, and then also be perfectly ensconced within our budget planning going forward as well. While the DPM methodology initially intimidated me, after seeing how it worked for planning our non-variable personnel I think it’s a great value add for something like this.
How do you find Prophix compares to similar software as far as functionality and ease-of-use?
We vetted a few programs and Prophix was by far the best for our purposes. I do love the upgrades they have made in the last year to help make things more intuitive and easier to update!
Please keep me posted! Would like to see how this works out!

Your questions about tracking CPE got me thinking about what we should think about tracking!
