Could someone please tell me how data types are determined in Drill Across Designer. I have fields that are selected as string when they should be numeric. The drill across then has to be converted in Excel for a number of columns.
Drill Across is usually setup using a view/table from the Staging Db. And the table/view from the Staging db is created using tables/views from the client’s side (ERP / SFTP file / csv extract, etc.). Hence, the data types are all a function of what the staging db holds.
In your case, if you need specific transformation in certain fields (i.e. their data types), you may need to either tweak this in Prophix (if you are using Process Manager to create your table queries, using cast commands) or have Prophix’s integration team assist you with it.
Hope this helps? Please feel free to reply to this and tag my handle @navin.sadarangani.1 if you would like more help on this. Happy to help
Cheers,
Navin
Thank you Navin. There is a number of fields this impacts. So I think’s it best to have the integration team help with this.
I agree with you, Jeff. Good luck in having the data types resolved. Cheers.
