Product Adoption Tip March 2023: Formatting Templates

Are you preparing your templates for the new year and you need to format your templates?
There are different formatting options available in Prophix:

  1. Automatic Data cell formatting
  2. Conditional formatting

Automatic Data cell formatting
This option automatically formats cells if they are Editable or Not Editable.
The following steps show how to add automatic cell formatting to a template:

  1. Click on Options

  2. Select Data entry tab
  3. Turn on ‘Automatically format data cells based on whether they are editable or not’
  4. Click Edit

  5. Select the Data cell formatting type and chose the option if Editable or Not Editable
  6. Click OK

Conditional Formatting
This formatting option is available in Adhoc Analysis and Template studio. It allows data cells to be formatted based on conditional rules that are defined. This formatting type make it easier to identify outliers.
The following steps show how conditonal formatting is applied:

  1. Click on Edit
  2. Select Conditonal Formatting

  4. Define the condition and click OK

We most often use automatic cell formatting.
