System getting Slooooow

Hi Prophix group,

We are using Prophix cloud and it is getting slow when running reports recently. Can anyone share some solution. Thanks!

Hi Gloria,
There are numerous potential causes to this from the design of the template to the amount of data the cube holds to other factors. Do you have a CSP program? If yes, would highly recommend you have a session with a PA consultant (your CSM can help set it up) and have them do a model audit at the least.

In general you can make sure you’re doing some regular maintenance. I run a process to remove zero values and optimize the fact table weekly, which helped with some performance problems.

We have schedule the Data Optimization Process to run every Sunday over night. This has helped improve the performance for us.

I have been banging my head against the wall on an endless export of a small amount of data. The export section of the System Slowness link fixed my problem in 5 minutes. Great resource.

I’ve done many if not all of these and still cannot open on of our budget reports. I have been working with Prophix on this and have a ticket I need to follow up on.
